The North (West) branch of Berklix.org (Started in Munich, Bavaria, Germany),
Started with friends from Munich Beer Gardeners etc who are now in NRW (= North Rhine Westphalia), eg Aachen, Cologne/Koeln, Cleves/Kleve, Dahlem etc.
Others in Aachen/ NRW, or nearby in Belgium & Holland etc welcome to join us. We speak English. Any nationality. We don't smoke.

All Free, No money wanted from you or accepted by us. No commercial company hosting or organising, no adverts, no membership fees. no fees charged to event organisers (unlike eg meetup.com 240 EU/Year), no commissions, no personal details wanted, accepted or stored, no formality, no liability offered or accepted, no e.V. no forms, no cookies, no tracking, no harvesting, no selling of your address to companies, etc, Just a mail list to allow people to mutually co-operate to join & organise events.

Examples of the sort of events we're aiming for, from event lists that author & others have organised on Munich lists:

• Frisbee: at Landschaftspark Gillesbachtal, Aachen or some other park (Maybe nellessenpark or Soers, North of Aachen ?) with more open space to allow for drift, & to avoid river in the middle.
• Badminton: outside at Landschaftspark Gillesbachtal, Aachen, some areas are even flat, eg North East
• Beach volleyball: eg at Freiheit und Erholungsverein Walheim e.V. - South East of Aachen - Cost @ 2026-03: 10,- Euro pro Gruppe und Stunde. Der Ball ist von der Gruppe selbst mitzubringen. They have the net & sand ;-) Location: Freizeitgelande Walheim near Kornelimunster

Later if / when mail list traffic gets too heavy on the North Mail List, it may split into sub lists (as some Munich lists did); but for now it's all in one here.
The North Mail List is not moderated, & is instant relay. To hinder spam, first Join the North list before you can read it, or write to it. When you join, also give a human name, not just an anonymous email address (a human name makes it easier when we meet, & encourages self control, obviating need for moderators), If you write to North Mail List, send from the same address you joined as, else it's automaticaly silently discarded to avoid spam).

What Aachen & Area has to offer

Caution: Works fine for most people, but unfortunately mailman . berklix .org fails for people silently censored by @gmail.com & a few other bad_domains) as they reject mail from @berklix, (despite @berklix accepts mail from those bad domains).

They abuse their monopoly in a war for email market dominance. After you subscribe via mailman . berklix . org / mailman / listinfo / north, the @berklix mailman server mails applicants a normal "please confirm" email to test their address, gmail rejects it, unseen by you.
The Solution: Dump Google! Get a better address! One that does not interfere with your mail. Examples: @gmx.de & many other providers are OK.
