Date: Sun, 28 Sep 2025 13:36:33 +0200
Hi VCFE people
vcfe@@@mailman.berklix.org mailman.berklix.org/mailman/listinfo/vcfe
& a few others.
Today (Sunday 28th Sept 2025) is final day of art etc exhibition @@@
Aachen Tuchwerk, http://tuchwerk-aachen.de/ In the machine hall
they are doing clear out & final demolition & give away / sale of
components.
They have giant wool carding machines etc they plan to scrap, massive
collection of wall mounted giant cog wheels, load of giant rolls
of yarn on the wall spelling out TUCHWERK & load of shuttles for
weaving machines etc.
Yesterday they were scraping the last of their quadrants for Jaquard
looms. Hans, I picked up one for you, free if you want want it,
even has a card attached. If you want it, when I next drive from
Aachen, or when you next drive to England.
Sorry I couldnt give anyone more notice, M. & I only saw it yesterday.
Contacts:
Jochen Buhren & a colleague are disposing of contents of machine hall.

An exhibitor talkimg with Jochen yesterday is "Joerg Bueche" <...@@...>
It's all pre vintage computers, but Jaquard cards led to Hollerith
punch cards, & eg I was writing Algol on punch cards in 1977.
